Welcome to Hanging Lights Club. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (hanginglightsclub.com) and the holiday and permanent lighting installation services ("Services") we provide in Palatine and the greater Chicagoland area. By accessing our website or booking our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. For information regarding our text message communications, please refer to our SMS Terms and Conditions.

Hanging Lights Club provides custom holiday lighting design, professional installation, proactive maintenance during the season, and post-season removal and storage (for leased seasonal displays) or permanent architectural lighting installation. All materials provided for seasonal rentals remain the property of Hanging Lights Club unless otherwise specified in writing.

We provide free estimates based on the information and property photos you provide or an in-person consultation. All quotes are valid for a period of 14 days from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to adjust a quote if the scope of work changes, if the property differs significantly from initial descriptions, or if requested installation dates change.

Installations are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. While we strive to meet requested dates, specific installation times are subject to weather conditions and routing efficiency. You do not need to be home for exterior installations provided we have full access to the property and necessary power outlets.

A deposit may be required to secure your spot on our schedule, particularly for new clients or large installations. Full payment is due upon completion of the installation unless other arrangements have been agreed upon in writing. We accept major credit cards, checks, and electronic payments. Late payments may be subject to additional fees.

For seasonal lighting, we provide proactive maintenance and will repair or replace any malfunctioning lights or equipment provided by us at no additional charge during the holiday season (typically through December 23rd). This does not cover damage caused by extreme weather (e.g., high winds, falling branches), vandalism, animal damage, or client tampering.

Takedown for seasonal installations typically begins in early January and continues through February, weather permitting. We cannot guarantee specific takedown dates. Our service includes the safe removal, boxing, and off-site storage of our lighting materials until the following season.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that our crews have safe and clear access to the property, including roofs, gutters, and landscaping. Please clear the area of obstacles, pet waste, and ensure exterior electrical outlets are functioning and accessible. We are not responsible for delays caused by lack of access or faulty electrical systems on the property.

We guarantee our workmanship and the functionality of our provided lighting systems during the contracted season. For permanent lighting installations, product warranties are provided by the manufacturer, and we provide a standard labor warranty on the installation as detailed in your specific contract.

Hanging Lights Club carries comprehensive liability insurance. However, we are not liable for pre-existing damage to your property, minor wear and tear associated with standard clip and fastener use, or issues arising from overloaded or faulty electrical circuits on your premises. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided.

By using our website, you agree not to engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the website or our servers. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the site or use the site for any unlawful purpose.

All content on hanginglightsclub.com, including text, graphics, logos, images, and website design, is the property of Hanging Lights Club and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our website or cancel Services without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination of seasonal contracts, any equipment provided by us must be returned.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a new "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the website or Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
