Christmas Light Installation in Lake Forest, IL
Estate Christmas lighting and permanent roofline lighting in Lake Forest, for the ravine lots and long drives of the east side and the open properties out west toward Everett.
The Unique Charm of Lake Forest
Lake Forest is really two towns with two different Metra lines. East Lake Forest, secluded and close to the lake, sits on the Union Pacific North line and holds Market Square, the 1916 Howard Van Doren Shaw commercial center, along with Charles Sumner Frost's 1898 City Hall, the Gorton Center and Shaw's own Ragdale. West Lake Forest, originally the farm community of Everett, is on the Milwaukee District North line. Shaw, David Adler, Frank Lloyd Wright, Henry Ives Cobb and George Fred Keck all built here, and Olmsted and Jens Jensen shaped the grounds. Six nature preserves and twelve miles of trails mean many properties back onto protected land, which matters when we plan power and access. We love contributing to the local character of Lake Forest with our beautiful lighting designs, whether seasonal or permanent.
Our Services in Lake Forest
From magical Christmas displays to permanent architectural lighting, we have professional solutions for every property and every season.
Residential Holiday Lighting
Estate work is a different discipline: long approach drives, gatehouses, coach houses, ravines and specimen trees, often with the main roofline barely visible from the road. We plan these as a sequence from the gate to the front door. Design, install, mid season maintenance, takedown and storage are included.
Commercial Holiday Lighting
Market Square has been the model for planned retail centers for over a century, and its evening character is part of the asset. Lighting here should sit inside that architecture, warm and even, never a retrofit look bolted onto a Shaw facade.
East and west are two different jobs
On the east side we are usually working with ravines, mature hardwood and houses set well back behind gates, so the questions are sight lines, ladder footing on ground that drops away, and getting power to points a long way from the house. West of the tollway the lots open up and the constraints change to frontage length and wind exposure. We quote the two halves of town differently, because pretending a Green Bay Road estate and a home off Everett Road are the same install is how people end up with a display that does not fit the property.
Estate pricing in Lake Forest
Seasonal lighting starts at $799 and up, depending on the complexity, height and access of the job, and Lake Forest estates sit well above that floor. The drivers are total run, upper story access on steep pitches, tree lighting, and the distance between the street and the house, which often means lighting a drive as well as a roofline. We measure everything on site and give you a scheme in phases if you would rather build the display over a few seasons than do all of it at once.

We used Hanging Lights Club for both a gutters cleaning and a Christmas lights decoration. We were very happy with the company's work on both projects. The scheduling was super easy and everything was explained ahead of time. The lights look great. A few of our neighbors have complemented us on the holiday lights displayed on our house. We would highly recommend Hanging Lights Club to others.

They installed Christmas lights for my parents, and the team was very professional. I really appreciate their focus on keeping homeowners safe from any potential injuries.
